One of a number of old telephones on display in the pioneer building is this pink wall phone with rotary dial.

With the advent of automobile travel, the Bishop area became a popular way point for tourists from Southern California, many of whom came to fish the lakes and streams of the Eastern Sierra.  Mileage signs such as this one were found at many local business places.
