Laws Railroad Museum and Historical Site offers opportunities for private individuals and businesses to enhance the museum grounds through our "Adopt-A-Tree" program. The grounds at Laws have always been a wonderful resource for our community. In these unprecedented times our grounds play an even more important role in helping people’s mental health and wellbeing.

Your tax-deductible gift of $1,000 per tree will directly fund the planting of one tree on the museum grounds. Your gift will be recognized by a personalized name plate added to a plaque displayed in the Bottle House. Our Adopt-a-Tree program is a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone birthday, a special occasion, or to show your love for the museum. In addition, your donation will contribute to the care and maintenance of trees planted when the museum was established in 1964.

Did you know planting trees can: cool the ground temperature through hot summer months, generate oxygen, clean the air of particulate matter benefiting sensitive populations, reduce noise, encourage outdoor activity, provide homes for wildlife, and help make our area more beautiful.

A tree will be chosen from the list below dependent on availability and planted in the fall:

  • Canada Red
  • Locust
  • Dogwood
  • Mimosa
  • HoneyLinden
  • Red Maple
